If I take it out do I need to put something back to hold the frame rails steady?

Or is it merely my cosmetic choice to put somethign back for holding up the bottom of the bumper cover properly?

I used a 4 ft piece of aluminum 1 1/2 angle from home depot across the front of the frame rails with a couple of stand offs to help support it. Less than a pound.

Am I safe just having nothing? Or is the support for frame twist when accelerating etc?

It ties the frame rails together in the front pretty good. I have lightened mine but it's to much structure to take out IMO.

Got it. Mines full factory Nothing lightened, 3420lb without me or fuel.
Going on a serious diet and didn't knw if I just pull that support out or if it's structural.

some people just take it out, some brace it. I did and had all the under plastics hanging off it for about a year, then noticed it was starting pull on the sides under the headlights. So I made some little braces with lightweight alum angle iron from the hardware store. So its not saggy and firm.

The front bumper support is not structural. Feel free to rip it out. Midwest chassis does sell a replacement support that is like 4 lbs
