Joe Overton's LT1 Goes 9.57 @ 140.10 Just got a call from Joe. First pass this year @ Richmond dragway. Still all motor, LT1 Heads, ~3000lbs raceweight.
60': 1.333
1/8: 6.08

smokin'!!!!!!!you got out before i did, i am jealous
that is ok, i am going out this coming weekend, just have to swap seats and pull the catback off the car! i finally solved my f'n valve cover leak
i hope to post a new N/A personal best next weekend. i slapped on the skinnies and slicks today and went for a drive... looks great, even went for a cruise, woohoo, not 9.57 woohoo, but i am sure you get the idea

Thanks Mikey for the post....no matter how fast I go you're still the ls1 king
made 3 passes in all..today was a bracket day so i had to do the footbrake thing...
first pass 9.69@140 1.39 60 ft.. car came up hard hit the wheelie bar and shook the tires..
2nd pass I tightened up the afcos up front (thanks Jay Billingsley ) and raised bar up some which produced the 9.57@140.10 1.33 60 ft.
3rd pass 9.63@138.9 1.33 60 ft. alternator threw belt (one thing bout efi they dont like low voltage ) would be another 9.5 run since my 1/8 mph was up .3 but good day none the less,considering I just fired it up yesterday morning for the first time.And had nothing more than tuning in the shop then onto the trailer..
running a local Eastern f-body shootout this coming saturday..so hopefully I can dial it in some more and maybe play with the t-brake some...
