3-27&28-04 Race Results
Saturday, I raced at Houston Raceway Park. It was our 2nd points race of the year. I went to round #7. The semi's. I red lighted away a chance in the finals with a .009 red light. Damnit. "Oh well thats drag racing". The best part is I moved into #2 in the track points. Now, Iam in #2 in points at both NHRA-Houston Raceway Park and IHRA-Lone Star Raceway Park in Sealy, Texas.
Sunday we drove 3 hours up to Temple, Texas to race at TAD. They were paying $2,500.00 to win footbrake. I went to round 4 in 1 tech card and round #5 in the other. I lost both races by falling off my dial in. The track is pretty much a grassroots track. In round #5 I lost by .0001.
Not a bad weekend racing. This coming weekend I will be racing at Lone Star for track points and then Sunday, we will head off to Beaumont, Texas to run in the Citgo bracket series. They are paying $2,000.00 to win footbrake.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend, Coach!
The weather changes were pretty drastic here yesterday. Cool and damp in the morning, breaking sun at noon, hot afternoon, and then a cold front at 4:30. I was working outside all day, and was wondering how all Mother Nature's mood swings would affect those at TAD. Be a tough day to keep a consistent number.
Keep up the good work. #2 at HRP ain't bad at all.

glad to hear you're making round Coach! Our points season starts this saturday, and I'm hoping for better luck than my last few races! I went to Jax last weekend and lost in the 1st round with a .498 red and of course to make it worse:
1-guy I'm running goes .576 and 3 off the dial to my 1 over.
2-I was going to buy back in, but I get to the pits to find that my harmonic balancer had split the rivets holding the front ring in place! I had to duct-tape it back up just to make the 1-1/2 hour drive back to Gainesville; luckily it made it!
Hope you have good results this weekend, the citgo series is tough! I ran it last year in Georgia.
