Default buying wheels/tires, need advice

Hi guys,

I'm finally ordering front and rear wheels/tires so my car can run 11s and not slip and slide its way to 12s. I drive on the street a ton and see the track about 6-8 times a year.
I'm pretty sure I'm going with Billet Specialties street lites. I want to run 15x4 fronts and 15x10 rears. MT's website says not to run a 275/60/15 drag radial on a rim wider than 9.5. I swear I've seen plenty of guys do it. Who's got experience out there with this combo, and does that rear tire/wheel match do okay? From what I understand, any tire bigger than that requires a alot of BFH time. If not, please give me a heads up.
The car has stock rear axle width with the Currie 9" and stock brakes. I also planned on running Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros on the front with the 1.625 offset. Any input on that would be great too.
Thanks for the help

you'll be fine to mount those 275's on a 10" rim. some guys have them on 12's with bead locks.

can't help you out on whether or not it'll be BFH time or not though

I run the 275 on a 15x11 Alumastar without any issues so your 15x10 will be fine. That wheel tire match does well on many cars so don't be worried. As far as clearance goes, I think you will be fine and shouldn't need to do much with the well. I didn't need to hit it with a hammer until I attempted to run 325's. That front tire will also be great especially since you plan on driving it on the street. I can't comment on the 4" wheel with the 1.625 offset because I haven't seen how they sit up under the car.

Thanks for the advice. I just ordered the rears with MT drag radials. I will have to order the fronts a couple pay periods from now.

I'm going to be putting the 325/50's on a 15x10 rim. Ive seen them locally and they look sweet. But I am also not in a 275 class or anything.
