Hey guys im looking at re wiring the car. Currently i have no ecm but still have pwr windows factory lights signals and ignition. I want to remove the underhood fuse/relay block and re wire the car so i still have functioning brake turn and headlights. Whats the best way to do this any suggestions? Im not worries bout any other functions and my engine is controlled by stand alone box.
I was in the same situation and used a Spaghetti Menders system that was built to order. It's above and beyond a Painless harness and makes wiring ten times easier and cleaner. Another comparable system to look into is Speedwire.
Got any pictures of your wiring TurboStangJON? I am building a car and also kinda getting ideas on the wiring.....how much was it if you dont mind me asking?

Here's some older pictures of the cubes mounted on my dash bar (scroll through to see more). The one on the left controls the ignition, starter, bump start, computer power, etc. The second one is the nitrous controller which was built into the system. The third ties all the cubes together from the front, middle, and rear using computer cable. The switch panel has just one computer cable running from there to the last cube.

Have to second, third, fourth, or whatever. I've got his setup on my car and it simply doesnt get any nicer! I've seen ALOT of racecars wiring and Brian's is seriously top notch stuff. It's alittle more front end investment but totally worth it in the long run for peace of mind.
Look into Bussman Blocks. They are relay distribution blocks that can pretty much be wired to control the whole car out of one box, Waytech carries them and they have several different sizes. Racewire uses them on his installs also. M22759/16 is the wire you would want to use.(mil-spec wire)
Thats just some small details, wiring a car by yourself correctly takes alot of skill, research and planning.
