Cutting shock towers

Cutting shock towers Just wondering if its cool to remove the front of the shock towers with no through bars to support the top. They dont seem to be anything structural but i wanted to see if anyone else had removed them with no cage through the top.

i will take a couple tommorow,,you drill the spot welds out ...not a lot of cutting ...just were the panel meets the frame..you can kinda see it here ...

Dlove had some pics of ihs a few years ago. He also said a few times it was one thing he wishes he didnt do. He got alot more dust and crap in the engine bar street driving. And alot of people would say how cut up the car looked from having them out.
I also heard that top metal on thetowers was a few pounds to, alot more then you think. you still have 2-3 layers of metal were the shuts put weight on.

i plan on doing that over the winter as well as rear fender exit headers ..the set i built that are on it now exit under the car ..I wanna do the inners like Krawics car .
