Default Suggestions to get the Hot Rod into the 10's

Alright guys and gals, how can I get the Hot Rod into the 10's? I've done almost every weight reduction you could do. She weighs 2935 without me in her. 3200 with me in her. The motor in the car is a stock B1 cammed LS1346. I run 104 unleaded racing fuel. I have a turbo 350 reverse valve body with a 4800 to 5000 tranz king converter. I'm running 28 inch moroso D2's with 15x3 prostars. The rear slicks are 30x9x15 Goodyear's on 15x10 prostars with 7.5 backspacing. I have the latest Madman torque arm and every BMR rear suspention part you can buy. I have Hals shocks in the front and the back. I have a Moser 12 bolt with 513 richmand pro gears.

Lately she has run at Houston Raceway Park 11.14 to 11.23 at 115 mph. She hits the 7000 rev limiter 100ft from the mph marker because of the 5.13 gears and the 29.5x10.5x15. I hope to help this problem with the new 30x9x15 Goodyears. These have the extra 4 inches of rollout. They have a rollout of 98 inches total. I'll be trying these out this weekend.

At Lone Star Raceway she has been running 7.14 to 7.20 at 94 mph.

I run better at HRP. In the 60ft, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile (it's just a better hooking track).

So what do you guys and gals think? Can I get her in the 10's?

I am racing at Lone Star this weekend. Then the 24th at HRP and the 25th at Lone Star again.

Coach

Put your WIFE in the car. She probably weighs 95lbs. That will save you 150 lbs = 1 .5 tenths.

I will rag on you forever if your wife runs the HOTROD in the 10s before you do.

Let me give her some driving tips and let me move the arm for her HAIL MARY pass.

Alright, Madman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been telling him to let me drive for some time now, but he always finds ways to make excuses. I think he doesn't want me to drive because he KNOWS that I could probably do it with a little bit of practice!! So, with a little help from you, I can make that car run in the 10's, and then I'll join you in the ragging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I appreciate the 95 lb. comment, but unfortunately I weigh a lot more than that, so it'll take some more instruction from you to make it all happen!! Just let me know when, and I'll be there!! Help me cut a 5.0something light, and I'll do the rest!!!!! I'm just mean and determined enough to do it!!!

I have a NOS dry kit for sale

On a more serious note, it'll be interesting to see if the tires keep it off the limiter. And what that will do for the ET if it works. Good luck !

Damn, I need to log off this site!

I was thinking the last couple of days about, My car has not been tuned with the B1 Stock motor. It still has the tune from the forged H/C 230/224 111 lobe LS1 346. Maybe with a good tune she could make it into the 10's?

Thanks Madman, No couch for me. I know how to act around my wife. She put a sticker on my car that says, I live with fear everyday and sometimes she lets me go racing. You really are a *****!

DMcRacer,
I am curious to see what the new slicks will do also.

WILWAXU, SilverGhost, z28kid98,
Thanks guys for the understanding.

vette,
Whats up Buddy? How are things? Hey, I am ready to race if you are? Lets get Pain out in that Hot Rod already.

SMOKIN01TA,
I sure hope that the new motor will put my into the 10's but that motor is still a month away.

Jenibella,
I have let her drive the Hot Rod once. She went 11.09 @ 115. back in Dec.

Flamin Raven,
Yea, If I switched out cams I know for sure I would be in the 10's. Maybe a sponsor on here will donate a cam to the cause.

bigger cam could def get you over the hump and staying off the limitor. god knows you have enough traction.

WILWAXU,
I think so to. Now who to tune this thing in Houston?

gator's 99TA,
yea, traction is not a problem. Right now I 60 ft from 1.45 to 1.50. Maybe better now with the new slicks.
Yes, a bigger cam would push me over the hump. How fast has a B1 cammed LS1 run? I wonder if any have run in the 10's?

i would bet you have the fastest B1 cammed (on motor) car around here. since most of the hardcore guys went to the big cams and droped the small cams.

Chris,

I really don't want to change cams right now. When I get my new motor, I will have the B1 motor freshen up and put in a bigger cam. Now, if someone wants to give me a cam. I would be up for that.

gator's 99TA,
Thanks, I know that most people have bigger cam now. I was just wondering if anyone has run in the 10's n/a before.

Brooke went 11.2x's in his b1 cammed car many years ago, I have heard the car actually went faster with a lighter driver
