roll bar/cage questions
I would like to up my knowledge on bars and cages and can't seem to type in the right thing in the search bar or on google to get any help. I wanna know the difference and what makes you do one over the other. I understand the "points" are connection points but what differs between the 25.2/3/5 **** like that. Can someone help me with a link to either a book or just something so I will have more know how when it comes to this. Also at what point does it go from roll bar to cage? 10 point?
Thanks for any help and sorry for the dumb question mods i tried a search but couldn't get anything worth anything.
edit: with me having a t-top car they say swing outs aren't the best route for rigidity. But I plan to go 10 point to overkill for awhile. Would that help out alot in this respect and still be able to use swing outs without losing as much rigidity?

25.5 is legal to 7.50 at 3600 lbs 25.3 is legal to 6.50 at 3600 lbs. A 10pt is legal to 8.50 at any weight. All of them have to be inspected by NHRA for a sticker. I dont have a problem with swing outs on a t-top car. I prefer solid bars though because they are stronger.
