Yeah, the converter is flashing higher off the foot brake, instead of trying to bring up the RPM's and keeping the car from moving with the brakes on. Brakes will only hold the car back for so long.
If you don't have a trans brake, your wasting your time with a 2 step.

Disagree. My car has a very tight converter and will benefit from the 2 step.

One question I have is if I wire it to the brake light to activate will i have a problem during a rolling start? Like brake boosting from 40mph? Seems like it might get screwy.

You could also have a master arm switch for the 2 step. That would be the best way to do it for when you want to use it, or not.

99 camaro vert. grey wire #32 blue connector has power clutch released goes open when depressed. you cannot activate the 2 step with an open. are you guys using a relay? cutting into harness under dash? i tapped into #32 at pcm and (obviously) does not work. I can wire any way i want but the simpler the better. HELP make me look stupid!!!!

I didn’t like the idea of tapping into the pcm so I used the connection off the clutch switch. It’s a pain to get to laying under the dash. Ran the lead through a switch to turn in off an on. There is a dozen fbody installs on YouTube. Also if you didn’t read correctly you only need one of the wires coming off the 2 step to activate not a power an ground. Sorry don’t remember what color the wire was. Easy to find with a test light.

1998 Trans Am T56: So I just looked at mine and I wired the blue plug/wire running thru firewall tapped into purple wire off the downward clutch switch. MSD 8733 recommends using either/or plugs to... Blue wire plug is supposed to tap into ground, white wire plug is supposed to go to 12V. You can also run it into the top PCM to grey wire 32. I have mine set at about 3k light on the controller is always on, (I think I'll have to check once I'm able to start the car again) 2step only engages when clutch is fully pressed 3k revs... Clutch out full range rpms. I honestly think I wired it won't but it works....

How will you Benefit from a 2 step with a tight converter? Wouldn't you just spin the tires or push through the brakes before even getting to the 2 step RPM?

Default 2stel

I got my 2step today and put the 12volt to the #32 on pcm but my 2step wont turn off. As soon as I connect to coil plugs the light turns on.. even if it's not connected to the 12v and 2step will stay on. My first time doing a 2step idk if mines defective. Figured I'd ask on here if anybody else had this problem.
