Default Help with Drag set up

I also posted this in the Automatic Tranny section. But I basically only drag race the car and all input is helpful.

I have about had it with my M6. This is my 6th transmission. I am seriously considering going to an automatic.

My SS: heads, cam (TSP 231/237, 598/595, 112), all the bolt ons (LS6 intake, EWP, L/T), Moser 12-bolt with 4.30s. Run ET Drags (I have 2 sets 28" and 26").

This would be for drag only.. the SS doesn't see the street much any more.

I need your help. What would I need to convert to an automatic - I would perfer manual shift? Would I really need to do anything to the PCM - considering I would be manually shift off a shift light?

Transmission: TH200, TH350, TH400? Is Rossler transmission as good as their prices?

Converter: I am thinking an SS4000 ? Yank, TCI - who is "Midwest"

Transbrake, cooler, line, links?

Shifter?

Does anyone sell a package deal? As you can tell I know jack-**** about an automatic. In fact, the only one I have ever owned is in my truck.

Thanks

David

Yank sells a complete swap, but SOME people hae had problems with their tranny taking a crap on them. Just SOME and others have had great results. Although I am pretty sure you can do the swap for alot less then what Yank charges for the whole kit.

I very happy with my M6 to A3 for drag racing. Check your PM.

Thanks

Coach sent you a PM

I have checked around here in town. So far no one is willing to even attempt the swap - even if I provide all the parts.

Camaro_Zach is looking to sell his entire A3 setup.

I would go T400. It's reversible a few years from now and it will work at the track.

Thanks everyone. I think the decision has been made (not 100% yet) but I'm leaning to go with Madman's complete set-up - 2 include TA. We'll see. Thanks again PJ, and a special thanks to Coach for the PMs.
