Default Tire size effecting track times

Will going from 275/40/17's to 315/35/17's effect my track times or MPH? I am run 3.23 gears.....

Not enough to matter. You trade a little less weight for a little more traction...and I DO mean a LITTLE in both cases. I've done both. There's not enough difference that you could measure it at the track on the same day on back to back passes if all else was equal.

BTW, those two tires are within .02" in height of either other. The same for all intents and purposes.
