09' ish GT500
There is a guy in town that has what I believe to be a 2009 Shelby. I raced him years back when I was driving a cam and headers A4 Fbody and put about a car on him. Since then he has supposedly a larger S/C, pulley's, etc...
I guess what I'm looking for is what has y'alls experience been with these cars?

Lol sorry man, I just read it real fast on my phone and thought it said you'd be racing a 2013 Shelby with your f-body. My bad lol. No, these two Shelby's could be a very tight race

To be honest I think it will be a good run. Depending on how well the 09 GT500 is setup. I've never been impressed with the performance of the 05-09 GT500's, either their setups have been hit or miss for me.
If you do lose...your current car will make over 700rwhp with Bolt-On's/Pulley/Tune lol so you shouldn't have a problem with him after that. Make sure you're on DR's at least though when you run so you're not spinning everywhere.

From what I've seen out of pre 2012 GT500s they don't do much. The pullied tuned ones I've ran were trapping 111-112 on drag radials to my 110mph trap from a stock C5 Z (terrible DA here). Actually the fastest I've ever seen a 500 go at Bristol was like 12.7x. Ive only ridden one GT500 and it was a 13 and that thing felt like a monster. I think they dyno 600ish rwhp stock so as long as hes below that you should have it in the bag not to mention from what I've seen from Mustang owners since your coming from a Camaro background your probably a better driver haha.
