Default What tire for 15x10 wheel?

I'm running 275 radial in the front, looking to find the best rear tire for the track. My mods are in sig. Last time at the track mt et street II in a 315/35r17 was 1.63 60' just trying to get my 60' down. Went through the trap at redline in 3rd.

For a 15x10 wheel, I would suggest 275/60's MT Pro radials for the track. If you're not running skinnys up front, air up your 275/40's up front at 45psi. to lower rolling resistance.

275/50/15 MT ET Street Radial. Are you a 6 spped or automatic?. Slicks for a 6 speed and drag radials for an automatic.

I'm a 6speed I want to run a slick but are they all a bias ply tire? I was told not to a mix radials and bias ply. I was looking at the mt et street 295/55r15 but haven't seen many running that size. Does anyone make a slick that I can run with my radials?

Mixing bias-ply and radial tires is not recommended for normal driving but is standard practice on drag strips, especially for manual transmission cars. When I was a novice I tried several different drag radials trying to get my sixty below 1.9 seconds - no luck. MT bias-ply ET Streets immediately dropped my sixty into the 1.6 range with an occasional 1.5. And you can safely drive to the track so long as you don't do anything crazy.

First off much respect cutting a 1.63 60' on a 315/35R17.
Are you running 1/8th mile?
I'm in the same boat, gonna buy some rear wheels for drag only.
Gonna run ET bias ply M6 car as well.
How did you launch the car? Got a vid?

I was running 275 pro's but with a th400.
I know you could put a 28x12.5 on a 10" wheel and I have a set for sale cheap if you want to try them on your car. I had these on bead locks for a very short time then sold the car.

Only thing I'm worried about is that's a 28" tire and I have a 26" tire now and was told it has 7" more roll out so that would drop my rpm by 1050 from what i was at before. Does that sound right

Put the numbers into one of those calculators. It should only drop 400-500 RPM +/-.

M/T 28x12.50 ET Street bias tire if you are looking for a DOT, 28x10.5 slick for race only.

A drag radial and any manual trans will never perform to it's potential no matter what anyone says. A radial is a faster tire with the right gear ratios and an auto trans for sure, but the T56 is a completely different world. The T56 should be used with a bias tire.
