I went out to the track yesterday to use my ET DRags I just bought off a friend of mine. They are 26-10-16 on stock TA wheels. I ran them at 13 pounds. My problem is that When I got to the staging beams the car would not stall up very high using the foot brake. Evertime I would bring the rpm's up the car would start creeping forward. My question is am I better offf just stalling it at about 1500 rpm's and then hammering the gas to launch? I figure this would flash the converter to get my torque up some. Any suggestions are welcome.

You always want some flash in the convertor, this will help to launch the car better than stalling it higher. My nova has a 3400 stall 10" and I usually stall it to about 2000 and let the flash do the rest. Stalling it higher doesn't do anything for my 60 foots, and the car pushes out of the beams instead of reacting to the flash. if the car feels like 1500 is a push, try launching it there.

Thanks Derek. I got to thinking about it and flashing it makes more since than trying to foot brake it higher.
