What gear do you guys think will get the most out of my setup? I'm sticking with 26" MT drag radials for now. My current gear is the sock 3.23 and the best 60ft so far on this setup is 1.52. I'm in the process of upgrading the rear with a 12 bolt and can't decide on 3.90 or 4.10 gears. Also, shifts are set at 6900

I am running a 4.10 gear and a 28 tall slick. I go thru the traps at 7,000 rpm at 133 mph with a very efficient 5,000 stall Circle -D. converter. I would stick with a 3.90 gear for 26 slick, depending on loose your converter is on the big end.

I would have to agree, 26's and 3.90's would be my personal preference as well. Considering the change on converter/gears too

I'm running a Circle D 3E and it's very efficient. I was unsure if I would be bouncing off the rev limiter with running the 4.10's going out the back of the 1/4.

Put 4.10 gear in it & be done.

I can up my shift points to 7000 if needed but do you think I will come up short in the 1/4?

I am going thru at 7,000 at 133. If you go any faster than 130 your going to be higher than 7,000 on a 26

My fastest trap speed so far was 123mph.
