Default Viking coilovers/shocks ordered from MWC..

Just ordered viking DA coilovers for the front and threaded body DA shocks for the rear from MWC. I have strano springs now but I'm gonna ditch those. Would a stock V8 or V6 spring be the best to go with for the rear? Didn't want to go for the full coilover package just yet, tried to save a few dollars but kept the option open for the future. Car is a H/C M6. Thanks

Vikings are great i ran the same on my car and got it from a 1.46 down to a 1.28 with the shock adjustment and some limiters. I've got both sets V8 and V6 Springs didnt notice much difference but depending on how much bite a track had we would switch them. If you have V8 ones use them and just see how the car reacts.

I have the Vikings as well, full coilovers for front and rear, and I've got the rears on, and am in the middle of getting the fronts on. I was really impressed with the quality, and the rear coilovers bolted right up with the custom mount from MWC. I'm sure you're going to love them. I know a lot of guys have been cutting pretty damn good 60' times with them, which subsequently lead to lower ET's. Good luck with them.

We appreciate your business!

The shocks and springs will help your performance for sure, but considering the rear springs you may not see much of a difference from one to the other v6 vs v8. We do tend to lean toward the softest possible rear spring to allow the shock to do it's job.

So either one will be ok to start out with. The rear shocks bolt up without any mods or extra parts correct? Kevin told me on the phone that they would. Also what about 93-97 springs? Are they any different?

Yes they will bolt up without issue you can run a transverse mount if you want to but at this point it is not really necessary.

Im glad you got a set, I love mine, easy to install and easy to adjust. Nice quality. What spring rate did you go with on the front?

300. You have coilovers or just shocks on the rear

Yours might transfer better than mine with the 300. I juss have afco da shocks on the back. They didn't offer the rear coilover kit when I got mine but the Afcos are a threaded body so I could switch to coil over in the back if I wanted. I guess well see how that works for Ray Bulach this year bc I think he was going to try it. It would make lowering or raising the whole car easy though with them on all four corners.

Question.. The one on the right is the C213.. what's up with the upper mounting point. That's not how they are made on our cars? They have the 2 rubber grommets I thought.

The eyelet style is for the conversion mounts to go to spherical instead of the stud. The fronts can be done that way as well with the MWC lowers.
