Default 60 foot times and estimate 0-60mph times

What mph do you think a 1.6 60 foot time will give you at the 60ft mark? I know our cars have are rated around 4.9 seconds stock on street tires. That puts our cars around the 1/16 mile point of the track. Is there a way we can at least use out 60ft times, 1/8 times with MPH to calculate our 0-60mph times? Or has anyone already figured this out?
Thanks

Here's a cool little calculator I found a while ago, don't know how good it is but it you give you somewhat of an idea

Now I can say my 0-60 is around 2 seconds flat... <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

Weatherguy, I think your mathematics are correct, but I don't think you can assume a constant rate of acceleration. The beginning of that run was 1.75 Gs, at the end of 60' it was around .8 Gs.

You know, that might be entirely right. Which is why I posted this because I wanted to get some idea if I was in the right ballpark or not.

What does it assume, if anything, for an acceleration curve? I think this controls everything. Also, was that desktop dragstrip assuming a torque convertor, gearing, etc.?

Probably the only way to get the best handle on this is to hook up that annoying "third wheel" that some of the car mags use. I would love to see what that acceleration curve looks like.

Weatherguy,
Back in college we had to write a program which calculated ET and MPH through the quarter. This was based on engine hp and torque curves, vehicle weight, aerodynamics, trans and rear gearing etc. I don't recall exactly how the acc. curve was determined, but I do recall that it was an iterative process. Check out this acc. curve from the Desktop Dragstrip.
