FMS 346 SR- Shake Down Runs Complete
First off I need to give TCI a HUGE thumbs up!
I had a crack in my TCI converter which I unfortantely found when I was dyno tuning the hotrod last weekend. I contacted TCI told them the story and that I had a big race coming up next weekend and need the converter fixed asap. I over nighted the converter, the fixed it in the same day and over nighted it back to me. The best part is they completely rebuilt the converter for FREE, my warranty expired atleast 6 months ago. I only had to pay shipping to and from.
Anyway back to the good stuff...
I got the car all back together after pulling the converter and reinstalling it and decided to sneak out the track for a few shake down runs and damn was it fricking hot out! Temps at the track was between 94*-98* all day. The actual DA was +2420.
Since the N vs S race is a week away, I decided to test/shakedown the car in LS1Tech Factory Stock race trim. Actual race weight was a little over 3400 lbs.
The car ran flawlessly! Each pass I launched a little hard and shifted a little higher and was cutting tenths off my ET each run. Considering my car's weight and the damn weather conditions, I was VERY pleased with the results.
Here is some video footage to give ya all a little taste:

PS.. I know you all want to know what I ran, but I've decided to keep my #'s top secret until this weekend Come on out to the N vs S race and watch us run, its going to be a great time!!

Glad to see you get some first runs on the car. I know it was hot as hell here this weekend so I can only imagine your feeling the same if not worse. Awesome video!!

Thanks everyone! I'm very proud of the way the car came out. It was ALOT of work to get this far, alot of late nights turning wrenches. I'm just so happy to be back on the strip again. I hadn't raced in almost 2 months. That seems like forever when you race every weekend.
2 SLOW: The lift is like .74x/.74x, I check the build sheet and let ya know exact.
SilverGhost: I'm setup to race Factory Stock. 346ci Solid Roller LS1- no power adder, stock suspension, 10.5 tires, interior etc
BTL FED: I'm running MT 29.5 x 10.5 ET Drags

Looks sweet Lee.
I checked my PM's in the morning at like 8AM and didn't see anything from you so I figured you wern't going to make it.
I guess I should have called.
I am sure you worked very hard to get things together and didn't have time to get online.
Looks sweet.
Cant wait to see a video with the time posted at the end.

I'll see if I can get someone to run the camera this weekend for me =)
