Default M/T DR 275/60/15 Vs. ET Drag 26x10x15 size for size?

It looks like the thundershootout might happen for me if i play my cards right and i will have to have a DR to run in the event. I'm running a 26x10 ET Drag on 15x8 weld draglites,4.10,PT 4400 stall and i will have to run a 275/60/15 M/T drag radial with my setup so i can cross the traps without running out of motor. What am i looking at as far as topend lost with the big drag radials and will i have to roll the fender or can i get away with it since they will not swell up. Right now my ET Drags are swelling to around 27.4 inches from what M/T came up with on my 8 inch wheels and the Drag radial will hold a true 28 inch height all the way down the track. M/T says that if i can make it hook in the same ball park as the Drag that i would possibly gain ET and mph since the tire will not grow but to me it looks like i will be giving up ET and mph since the tire starts out 28 inches and stays that way for the intire 1/4 mile. Give me your thoughts on what you think or have seen personaly!
