I get my best 60 fts by slipping the clutch. Can't seem to find the perfect rpm for side stepping the clutch, it either bogs or it spins bad. Also have around 75-100 1/4 mile passes on the stock rear and haven't broke it yet, I think slipping it helps in that department. My best 60ft was somthing like a 1.90- could have been better as I was at a really sticky track but after all those passes and 25K miles at the time, the clutch was getting a bit wimpy and would slip whether I wanted it to or not. Average at Commerce Dragway,a track known for it's crappy starting pad was low 1.90s. BTW, averaged almost the same with stock Firehawks as I did with the BFG D.R.s. The BFGs were more consistant though.

if the tires are stock, then i would slip it, as soon as you fell it start to plant then put your foot into it.

if those are nitto's heat'em up real good, then drop the clutch at say 3300rpm, if the track hooks well.(i am not responsible for any broken spider gears <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )
be sure to load up the rear, that'll help it survive.

THe best way that I can launch my car is by tapping the gas between 3800 to 4500rpm's and slowly ride out the clutch. If your tires spin then push the clutch in a little bit more until they hook up.
