Default Those elusive 10's are mine !!

Mikey was nice enough to meet me halfway tonight with my car (he had it for repairs) at Cecil. So I had to run it while there. Big crowds, poor staging lane management, and a new C5 hitting both walls slowed things down some. I wasn't expecting much since I knew I had a converter in my car that was very mismatched to my cam (originally chose the Yank UT4800 cause we were going to try a big cam. Went with a smaller cam instead). But it still got me into the 10's:

2 0f 3 runs in the 10's. Here's the best:

R/T .614
60' 1.521
330 4.452
1/8 6.960
mph 97.95
1000 9.120
1/4 10.940
mph 123.70

Now you A4 guys in the 10's or 11's know that my 60' isn't good enough. More like mid 1.4x. So a converter change is the first step to digging deeper. Also, the car hasn't had any dyno tuning with this setup, so that's also on the priority list. More details later

Thanks Allan, that's the plan. I think the UT4800 has it's place, but it may be with the bigger cubed setups or the very high rev power band guys.

It most be wonderful to run in the 10's. I wish I could run in the mid 11's. Great job. I am sure with the 4400 comvertor times will come jumping down.

Congrats Dave. Had to open the windows on the way home, kept falling asleep! Was a late night but worth it.

Good job Dave and Mikey it was fun to be there to see it. I know that car has consistent 10's in it.

Congrats on the 10's! You definitely have more in the 60' with a tighter converter. If the weather holds out, you should easily be in the 10.8's with traction and the converter swap.

EXCELLENT!

Let's get that bad boy on the dyno, look at the curve and get the converter stalled to match.

BTW, the UT4800 is not for big cubes.

Yes it is, Chris. Honestly, I'd have kept your cam if I knew we were going to be so close in specs. We were first going to go with a lumberjack cam but decided against.

Congrats!

I love to see what this UT-4600 would do in a good H/C car.
