Re: Bump/Bulge on the TREAD of one of my skinnies Sounds like a cord in the tire let go. How big is it? Personally I'd be a little iffy if it is a cord that let loose. At the speed your runnin' I wouldn't want to have a blowout. At the very least I'd have it broken down off the rim and look at it from the inside.

Most of those tires, (if they're the metric VW type radials) are only rated for 112-117 mph for 1 hr, anyway. They are poor quality tires to begin with. Even if they're front-runners made for the drags....Get it off there. I've seen one of these cars hit the wall---it's not pretty. Have a good holiday wknd.---and a safe one = new front runner.
