- Thunder Racing built forged 346ci shortblock (block honed .010)
- JE forged pistons
- Oliver rods (6.125")
- stock crank
- GTP 5.3l truck heads
- Thunder Racing 230/227 .569/.569 111lsa

Those are the major mods. It also has a Moser 12-bolt (4.56s), BMR k-member, Wolfe 6-point cage, etc. Coach can fill you in on the rest of the details.

Well my times last night were only so so until the last run of the night.

The Hot Rod went 11.34et @ 122mph with a 1.60 60ft(spinning).

The Mods on the car are pretty extensive. To add to what Jason said. "You name it I got it"

I still want the Hot Rod to run faster. I need more break in on the motor(it only has 122 miles on it,Geoff still needs to do more tuning and I need to still learn how to drive this bad boy(practice and more practice). We should have this thing flying by the end of June.

Just as a side note, found out when we were finished running last night We had about 50 to 80 pounds of parts in the back of the Hot Rod(Damn it!)

Thanks again to Thunder Racing!(All of you are just fantastic)

Nice times for the weather and carrying around the extra parts..hehehe. I watched your car get built through the whole process. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meed ye while you were in town though. Get the tunning done and practice up on your driving and your times will drop. When the weather returns I see 10s with stock cubes from a non solid roller setup. Very nice. Congrats on getting your car back.

Thanks everyone.

We are looking for high 10's in the summer heat. I want to run Super Street/Hot Rod 10.90 index.

We will see. Break in, practice driving and more tuning.

Awesome times coach, I was thinking you would be in the 11.3~11.2 range on your first trip out. Did you happen to get a race weight?

Good times Coach, I had a feeling you would pick up in the cooler night air at HRP. It was nice meeting you, and thanks for the

Hopefully when you come back to BR I will have my car ready to race.

PS: I have all your runs on video. I don't have much webspace so I could only put 2 at a time up there. I will e-mail you the link.

alright Coach! I'm glad to see that you've got the hotrod back together, and those are some damn nice shakedown runs! You only have quicker and faster to go, especially with more practice. You definitely have a little to gain with added break-in, too. You should be very pleased with a 1.60 60' and in May! 10's won't be a problem this fall w/ that hydraulic cam.
Congrats on the new setup!
