Default New times on 4400 w/ street tires.

I put the necessary miles on the tranny and converter and took it to the track tonight. I'm still somewhat gun shy so I ran on street tires. This is a vacuum modulated Yank Tranny and a Pro Thruster 4400. I cut a 1.99 60' and it hit 2nd too hard to feather it and it spun really hard sideways I got out of it and back into it. I will say every car at the track tonight was down about 4 mph. On a average street tire run before I would run 12.2 to 12.4@116 and tonight I did 12.3@114.81 so this is my question. Is the mph going down because I couldn't use the PT4400 very well outta the whole or the weather, it was about 85 and 100% Humidity out tonight as well. What do you guys think? Anything wrong?

What kind of verter did you have??? The tp4400 shouldn't cost you anything.

What type street tires ya talkin about?? Standard radials?? If so those are pretty good times....I'm not brave enough to run mine on the 18 y2k wheels

He had the sy3500 I believe. So Brian, what do you think of the new converter? How's it for daily driving? When I come down to BG next time let me drive it so I can see if I want one Good luck with the tranny and all that.

Yeah I know, but I always like to run street tires, it's kinda like a challenge. Yes Z00 you can drive it and see how you like it. WILWAXU do you have any idea of what it's capable of on ET Streets. I know the weather was bad, but a good night with cool air and a good hooking launch since you know what kinda 60' that converter will produce.

that conveter alone on a NA car with all bolt ons is capable of mid 11-upper 11's NA with traction.

which tires were your running??

oh and your mph may come down a little once you start getting traction.

how were your 1/8th times??

You will probably MPH more with a good hook. These A4's run faster (& quicker of course) when they hook.

That's another great thing about the Yank TP series converters. They have an awesome recovery after spinning.
