Default Help me get down to 3400-3450 lbs, w/me in the car......

I am working on throwing a little ghetto setup together and try for some 10's, and some weight reduction would definately help. I have never been much on taking stuff out of the car, so I haven't really read any of the weight reduction threads. Here's what I'd like to do...Get down to about 3400-3450 with me in the car. But, here are some things I will not remove from the car...AC, PS, Air bags on either side, side impact beams, carpet. Around 3400 will be a decent weight to run good and not get extreme with gutting the car..

As of now, the car weighs 3565 with me. Thats with the front pass. seat removed, and the rear seats. The spare tire& jack is out. So I need to lose about 140-165 lbs.

Help a brother out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .....

Josh

Well I weigh about 190 or so, and have no plans on getting any lighter <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . Boxing training is coming up again soon, so the car will be put on a diet but I will not <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Go on a freakin Diet Fat-***....

Well, this is gonna suck, but the 12 bolt will add weight, and the cage will..

My car weighs 3595 with me in it. I weigh 170lbs, that is with all seats and interior.

-Exhaust Manifolds (Headers are lighter)
-cats
-Front Swaybar
-Wheels (those 17's are #'s)
-Air Pump
-EGR
-Interior Panels (Doors, sides and rear panels)
-Battery (there are a few that will save you 25lbs)
-Washer Fluid Empty
-Gas Tank about empty
-New A-arms and K-member

There is alot more, but I know you want to keep it streetable. Here is a link to what they are pulling

Cruise, EGR, AIR and dynabatt (approx 30 pounds)
!Swaybar and brackets (16 pounds)
!foglights (3 pounds)
Under dash panels (4 pounds)
Kmember and A-Arms (44 pounds)
Glass pin on hood (~30 pounds
Backhalf the carpet (about 18 pounds)
remove all rear speakers and panels for the track (8 pounds?)
Rear hatch cover (4 pounds)

That is a grand total of: 187 pounds
Some of the weights I have listed are inaccurate though.

Leave some of that ego out of the car next time you take her to the track. You might be surprised how much lighter she is. Ya fat ****. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
