The Hot Rod gets 24 MPG on 500 mile road trip
I am pretty happy about the mpg the Hot Rod got yesterday on my 512 mile trip to Oklahoma to see my 2 year old daughter. The only thing that was kind of bad is I had a SES light come on about 30 miles into the trip. I stoped by The Car Shop in Temple Texas(Neil a great guy) ran atap on the Hot Rod and it said front 02's were messing up. I don't know if I need to replace them or not. Neil cleared them and off I went. They stayed off untill I stoped in FW to get something to drink. When I got back on the interstate the light came on again.
All in all I am very happy that the Hot Rod made it to Oklahoma with no major problems. Not bad for H/C with 4.56 gears. I was driving anywhere from 70 to 80 mph. At 80 mph the rpms were at 2,400

Re: The Hot Rod gets 24 MPG on 500 mile road trip
The MPG is fantastic especially for a set of 4:56 gears. It is kind of hard to believe that cars with that much HP and ET's that are ran today get such great mileage. Of course, my little A4 with 3200 vig with 3:73's average almost 22 MPG at 70 MPH. I am well please with my gas mileage on my H/C car. Anyway you have a great car and I have been watching them ET's at the track. I hope one day my car runs a 11.50 and I will be happy. Have fun and enjoy that car with the Thunderracing Team. Cheers.

Gotta love these LS1s and that M6 double overdrive.

Found out what codes I was setting off. P1133 and P1153. I think maybe it was some bad gas.
I had the dealership in town clear the codes.
The bad thing is that they only have 91 octane gas in Oklahoma. I went to the auto parts store and got some octane booster.(the racing off road kind, it said 5 to 7 octune boost for a trank full of gas). I can't wait to get back to the great State of Texas and put some racing fuel back in her.
