Anyone using 16x8 Gm wheels with ET streets?
I want to get some Et streets to use for my 99 SS. I have a complete set of 16x8 1997 Z28 rims(silver). It was recommended that I use a 26x11.5x16 Et street with these wheels. Is that correct? I have my bump stops removed but no lip rolling, I don't want to be trashing my car like rolling the lips and stuff. Oh and whats a good psi to run in these at the track, I figured I would start around 15-17psi, with a 5-8sec burnout once I see smoke.

I use a set of 26-10.0-16 ET Drags on my stock 16x8 TA wheels. They fit good and hook even better. They will fit your car fine without having to roll the fender. I usually run mine around 13-15psi.

i run the 26*11.5*16 on a set of salad tosser rims (16*8) without screws or tubes.. they hold air fine and have spun on the wheel about a quarter inch in 20 passes.
my car is lowered and i have no rubbing issues.. some pictures on my webpage..

I use 16x8 zr1 look-a-likes with 26x10.5x16. work great for me. I want to sell if you are interested, just cause I have prostars on front and want to match.

I have MT ET Street 26X10.5x16's mounted on my 16x8 stock chrome T/A wheels, I start at 13 PSI and go up if the track conditions require. I wouldn't think you'd lose all that much going from a slick to an ET Street.
