Default Slow A$$ times for the stock 98 A4

Took my 98 Z28 A4 3.23 gears all stock except muffler to the track. I threw on the nittos(275/40/17) and dropped the pressure down to 19 lbs. Heated them up really good(about 8 seconds after I first saw smoke in my side mirrors). Staged the car and flashed the stock converter, got a 2.08 60ft and a 13.9@99mph. The best pass last night was a 13.80, worst was 14.0 all at 99mph. My last run was a 13.9@99 with a 2.1 60ft, that was after I aired my nittos back up to 30psi. It felt a bit like the nittos were bogging the car. There were a bunch of LS1s there but no one was running good. My bud has my old IrocZ and he has run a 14.1 but last night 14.7 was his best. No track prep, 70% humidity, and 1200ft above sea-level. I think with ideal conditions the car might have ran a 13.6 or so. Definetly time for a Yank-3500 stall converters

Those times sound about right for the average stock '98 A4 car in that kind of weather... I don't think you should be worried about it.

3 years ago mine went 13.6@102 in this weather bone stock, and im sure in the fall it woulda squeezed out a 13.3-4!!! The weathers sucks now.

oh i had a 2.00-.09 60 average on street tires... with nittos and a stock car you arent really gonna 60 any better.. start modding, then the nittos help!

1.58's on 245/16's NA
