Default REAL weight on AC-25.5#

Am I missing something?Everyone told me 35-45#(except Terry Burger(30#))
This is compressor,bracket w/ pulleys,can, can bracket,all lines and bolts,small belt.
What's the deal,people?
Seriously, did I miss something,or did everybody just guess because it felt heavy?
Condenser?everything under the cowl?
Talk to me.....

did you not take out the condensor too?

also, i thought i read that the early year ls1's are heavier than late models. not sure if there's any truth to that.

Will the radiator stay supported if I take the condenser out?
If so, it comes out too.The more weight the better.Let me know ASAP,
so I can pull that out too.....

Mine was ~44 or ~48lb's. . . on a doctor's scale, mind you. . . it was over 2 years ago that I weighed it, so my memory is foggy, but it was definitely into the 40's.

My 98 ac with condensor came up to about what chris's did.

The scales don't lie <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

It does seem the 98's are a little heaver.

Also with no condensor, no bunper, no washer resovoir, etc...i got tons of air hitting my tranny cooler <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Is the 2000 AC setup the lighter or heavier version?
