Default Need lightweight hood info...

Who makes the lightest bolt-on fiberglass hood?
Will I need new 'pistons' or springs for it?
I don't care about cowl size.Stock is fine.It just needs to be light.
Thanks.

I don't really want a pin on hood.
I know they're lighter,I info on those.
Just looking for bolt-on info

www.vfnfiberglass.com

You should be able to use your stock equipment with just some different struts.

You save around 20# with the lightest bolt on hood. Not worth it, IMHO.

Sean, VFN is in Addison near Street Stuff. Glasstek is in the same complex as FLP.

I think the reduction would be about 20 lbs if you go to a stock appearing bolt'on hood. I think you can continue to use your stock hood struts but I'm not sure.

I may do a pin-on hood.I was at glasstek on wed.250.00 for a pin-on(Stock appearance)
2 weeks to make it.He said it weighs 15-20#.
then I could take out the latch assembly.
I think that's what I might do.

I'm thinkin' VFN stingray pin-on hood and pin-on hatch(260.00-8#)and throw some lexan
in there.I should save ATLEAST 80#.Around 3030 racweight.at the heaviest.
