Where Can I Get The Light Weight Carpet From
Where and how much is it ?? How much weight savings is it worth ?? I am doing a cage soon so while I have the carpet out I might as well go with the light weight one <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Same with me, i pulled out all the deadener underneath the carpet and you save quite a bit of weight. It's worth it when every bit counts.

Re: Where Can I Get The Light Weight Carpet From
Is the carpet from LS1 Speed molded/shaped like the factory carpet? I know this has been asked before, but I don't remember the answer...
As an alternative, my el-cheapo carpet from Year-One had a shipping weight of 17(?) pounds, and cost me around $200... It's the cheap "replacement" carpet, not the "deluxe" stuff they also sell. I bought that back in February after my car caught on fire and I had to replace the carpet anyway, and it turned out to be really lightweight.

This carpet saved 30# over stock (the carpet itself was ~5#, the stock carpet/insulation 35#), and cost $20 at home depot.

Re: Where Can I Get The Light Weight Carpet From
I ordered the carpet from LS1speed, should be here soon.
I was told it was molded. You can also get it in a precut or uncut form. The uncut is a nice option if your not going to be running the factory console. Which I'm not now that I have a quarterstick installed.
