Favorite wheels for drag racing?
I'm looking to get a pair of 15" wheels for 26-10x15 ET Streets or P275 / 50 R15 BF Goodrich drag radials; I assume they can fit on the same size wheel - what is the preferred wheel?
I've seen Convo Streets mentioned; I have to be able to drive them on the street (can't change at the strip)
Any suggestions? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
It's an M6 car with minimal bolt-ons; so low 13's.
Have never been able to hook with stock tires or Firehawks but I have trap times of just a tick under 109 MPH so I'm sure the power is there.... <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

i have 7.5 wide convs with 275 x 50 x15 nittos with 3000 stall YANK , they are not real flat( a little round )but they fit inside the wheel well. 8.5 rims will stick out an inch, they will not look good!I have cut 1.70 -1.73 60 fts on a well preped track , and the NITTOS are not bad in the rain. ET streets are not wider tires.

Re: Favorite wheels for drag racing?
how much offset to run 8.5" wheels without hitting anything or having to hack up the fenders/rear bumper/etc.?
275/50 should be wide enough

Weld's rears: 15x8" with 5.5" BS
Centerline rears: 15x7.5 with 5" of BS
both tuck in and are light enough. everything up to about a 9" slick on the C-lines and 10" slick on the DL's. 10.5" ET streets will work fine on both. if you want mroe meat or just a better contact patch go with 15x10" Welds with 7.5" of BS.
