excellent results! This is why I went straight to the Vig 3200 and didn't even bother upgrading to a Vig 3600...been there done that. You're going to have some FUN this fall.

The TP4400 is so much more effecient on the other end of the track. You will love that converter.

Harold, the ET's will fall. Sorry it took me so lond to try it out. Feels like a different car. The Vig was more violent off the line. From what I seen last night the change was well worth it. The Vig still put both wheels up in the air though. Traitor?? Nah, I'm just testing this one out for a few years. lol Take care bud

Thanks Steve, I already do

Shawn, yeah yeah, when you coming back to SC? Thanks bro

Default The TP4400 is going to kill my old #7

I switched verters about 3 months ago and went with the 4400. Trying to build a house and clear off land I finally got a chance to take the car to the track last night. When I ran my 7.47 @ 89 mph with the #7 pump the weather was perfect, around 65 degrees and no humidity. Got the car ready Fri. and had the car exactly the way I ran it early this spring. I went down to Ware Shoals Dragway (1/8th mile) to see what she would do. Temp around 80 degrees and the humidity through the roof first pass was 7.64 @ 91.8mph! Happy as a little boy that I finally ran a 90+mph pass! Let the car cool and jumped back in line. Got the ET's nice and hot and went 7.57 @ 91.99mph! Oh yeah! This is fun Let the car cool off for about an hour and ran for the last time. Big smokey burnout, car left hard..7.50 @ 92.4mph! w/ a 1.60 60ft. My 60ft's aren't there yet but I know its hot. VERY pleased with the converter change. I never would have thought I would come close to a new best in this hot weather. Can't wait till this fall! This converter is fun! I stalled the car to around 2k each time. Feels different than the Vig on takeoff when I used to leave off idle. No-one believes me when I tell them I'm not spraying the car!

WOW the TP4400 made a huge difference. I have been thinking about selling my Vig3200 and going with the TP4400. How is the drivability compared to the Vig3600?

John

John, the Yank is a little looser than the #7, but, streetability is there. My car drives fine in town

Off the line I don't think it hits as hard. Hard to say with only getting to run 3 times. If it was cooler the 60's would have come down. On the video both tires come up on the last run. If my car pull's 1 tire, they are both in the air thanks to the wolfe swaybar. I dead hooked on the last run...1.60 60ft (little high). City driving- it is a little more loose around town. My gas mileage has went down but who cares. If you can handle the #7, you won't have any problem. I drive my car all the stime in town. I had to 60 very good to run 11.80's. I know this converter will 60 in the 1.5's. It's just wayyy to hot right now here in the South. I would change if it was me. I still cannot believe the #'s this converter put up. Awesome mph Rpm's stay at 3k leaving a stop sign/traffic light till you get to the desired speed. I can notice that with my #7 the car leaped hard off the line then kinds fell on its face once the tires came back down then started pulling till the traps. Seems like with the Yank, the darn thing pulls steadily through the traps. I could never tell the difference with street tires. I'll be running at a better prep'd track in a couple weeks to see if I can get a new best in the heat. I do think its a little less harsh on the rear Take care

so you think the 4400 doesnt hit as hard at launch?

i consider that a good thing though, cause it's easier on the damn rear. Cause i gotta 60 like hell to run good numbers.

if its easier off the line nittos should be easier to hook on for me also

is it a whole lot worse than the vig around town? thats my biggest concern.. also would you reccomend me switching?

im going cam only now also so actaully bigger stall would help that also more

I sent in my #7 and had PI build it to the same specs as the TP4400. I will have my engine rebuild finished in a month and will get a chance to try it out then.
Comparing a 3600 stall with a 2.2 STR vs. a 4400 stall and a 2.7 STR is not exactly fair.
