Buying New Slicks for my 16x8s, stay with 11.5 or goto 10.5?
I had used 26 x 11.5 x 16 on my 16x8 take off wheels. Those slicks have been sold and I am getting new ET Streets. First off, are ET streets still my best bet for ET? Secondly, being as I am on 16 x 8s, are the 11.5" actually too much tire? Does the 10.5" offer a larger contact patch? My car has a 4400 stall, it hits the tires hard, I am looking for maximum traction here.

I think the 11.5s might be too big for those rims Kenny. The 10.5 though not quite as wide should still put a more useful contact patch on the track, on an 8 inch rim at least.
Would you possubly consider some ET Drags or Hoosier slicks considering your severe traction problems? I know what that means for the future of your 10 bolt but maybe if you strengthen it a little bit (cover and stud kit etc.) and limit the amount of passes you make each visit to the track then maybe it will survive.
