Monocoque or Welds aluma star is the lightest wheel.
Tires,I would say Moroso DS2 fronts.Any big name rear will be very close to the same weights,M/T,GoodYear,or Hoosier...

provided you can hook, get the lightest/smallest rear tire. they will be the lightest. 26x9" Hoosiers or 26x8.5" ET Drags. again, your effectiveness on this tire will depend if you can hook on em.

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
Thanks Ryan--I think will consider the 26 by 9 Hossier slicks on the rear with the Bogards--this will definitely be a light combination. For the front--I am thinking of going with Moroso DS2's or something alone them lines--this most likely save another 30 to 40 pounds on the front. Those Bogards are extremely light and look good. Thanks for the assistance Ryan--Most of the other seemed to be busy lately. I liked to be helped and helped others when I know the answer. Again--Thank You.

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
did you get the Bogarts that one sponsor was advertising in the sponsor section last week or so? the ones more specifically made for our brakes? I'd love to get in on some drag meats, but money doesnt permit right now. good luck with your car...11.4 is around the corner. oh, and i wouldnt take them DS-2's on the street.

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
Ryan--I ordered the Bogards directly from the factory out in California. I would have order from a sponsor--but I did not know which one carried them--Anyway I located the factory in California. The fronts cost $463.92 which included everything deliveried to my house. The rears cost 646.41. The wheels look awesome. I hope somehow I get in the 11.4 range. I have done a lot of things and mods to my car. Maybe it will pay off. It is just a matter of time before I ordered my new tires--have to work it in the old budget. Thanks for the assistance and support.

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
Does anyone know the weight difference between 26.10.15 MT Slicks and the 26.9.15 Hoosier slicks?

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
My ET DRAGS (26 X 8.5 15) are for sale and weigh 19 pounds from Mickey Thompson. I do believe this is the lightest tire. The 26X 10's are 21 or 23 pounds I believe.

The 26X8.5's are a good tire for a bolt on car. I went an 11.59 on them with a 1.55 60'

Re: What are the lightest Tires out there
We are the only sponser whom designed the rims and worked with bogart to design the rims to fit directly with our cars.
We are direct distributors since I personally worked with the manufacture to fit these rims we are able to pass on our large sales volume discount to our customers. Our pricing is too low to post.
We can save quite a bit more for anyone else interested in these rims.
The special introductory pricing from last week was authorized from bogart to be lowered as of yesterday..this introductory pricing will be honored until th 15th of august.
One more tip for you guys, if you are looking to lower your rotating weight a good bit, get rid of the ls1 brake setup. Go to a junkyard or the such and get a set of lt1 front and rear rotors. Your going to loose approx 10-20 extra pounds of weight from the smaller rotor and calipers. Not to mention the bogart lt1 rims are approx 1 lb total lighter for all four wheels.
Email me if anyone needs assistance at
