Does anyone have pics of grinded calipers to fit 15x10 prostars???
I'm in the process of trying to fit my 15x10 weld prostar rims on the car...I'm having some trouble making them fit...
Does anyone have any pics of your grinded calipers that I can see....
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Bos

I know you have purchased the rims already, Hopefullly you get everything figured out. There will be quite a bit of grinding needed if you don't use any spacers in the rear.
For other's whom are interested. There is no grinding needed with our custom fit bogart rims. These overall are lighter then the prostars also (In total mounting both sets of rims LS1 bogarts save approx 8 lbs over the prostars including spacers and bolts that are needed with them Lt1's save about 9 lbs)
For you guys trying to save as much weight as possible, go to a junk yard or the like and pick up the lt1 rotors... you'r going to save about 10-20 lbs total using the lt1 style.

Although as with any drag rim, they are not dot legal rims. They do not state this on the outside which is nice...Prostars do, a police officer, if he see's this can tow your car on the spot.
I personally will be running these rims 100% of the time, my car sees mostly street driving. Bogart claims them as being stronger then weld rims. Obviously you don' t want to be running twisties at 90 miles per hour.
I do not want to take away from brians initial post, please email us for any other questions. I personally can help you out.

That statement is kinda misleading...
the bogart rims are STRONGER but they dont say anything about being SOFTER
one good pothole and you have a bent bogart....OUCH
The aluminum they use is very strong, but its soft and that is why i was told to not drive with them on the street

Re: Does anyone have pics of grinded calipers to fit 15x10 prostars???
Just to clarify, I was referring to the front runners having them say for drag race only for our car. There are other sizes that state this also from weld, not sure which ones though offhand.
Concerning the statement of having a softer metal yet stronger is untrue. If you are able to run the welds on the street, you will have no issues running the Bogart rims on the street.
Its not the potholes that are as much of a concern, its the hard cornering that is what stresses a drag rim. All are meant to be strong to perpendicular stresses. It is lateral stress that causes problems with drag rims...ie corning real hard and hitting a big hole on the turn could cuase problems with any drag rim.
