Default Density Altitude (DA)

I found a DA caluclator at:

http://rshelq.home.sprynet.com/calc_da.htm

I need to know where I can find the altitude and the dew point so I can calculate the DA. Anyone know of a website with that info. I tried weather.com but they didn't have it.

ok, the DA is 2400'. Is this high/low? I'm guessing it's not very good since it's pretty damned humid outside.

2400 flat out sucks.Thats a very high DA. Most people wont even post times they ran in that high of a #. Expect the car to be very slow compared to a 0 DA or any negative DA.

2400 isn't a great DA, but considering you are in Michigan, and it is July, that really isn't too bad.

I use www.weatherbug.com for all my weather needs. They have a free download on a great weather program that stays continuously updated, with all the info you need for calculating those DA's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Try it out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

so you are telling me when i trap only 111 out of 381 RWHP it has something to do with the +3300 DA! LOL <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Kansas just flat out sucks for drag racing, but everyone runs on a level playing ground!

13.8@104 not bad for being a mile high <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Ok, so I ended up going to the track anyway. I couldn't resist. If you're interested see my post
entitled "New Track Times".
