My new Wolfe roll bar (Pics)
Following are pics and my evaluation of my new Wolfe Racecraft 5 point roll bar with swing out side bar.
A big thanks to Brooke (99RedHawk) for his expertise in powder coating and welding the bar.
Here is my pretty powder coated bar from the rear. Notice how well the carpeting wraps around each bar. A little trick Brooke showed me!

I ordered the swing out bar. This is going to be nice. I struggled getting in and out with my stationary bar in my Mustang.

Just pull the pin and the bar swings out.

There were a couple of problems. Hopefully this will prevent anybody else from the same. Notice how close the bar is to the inner panel. I had to take the weather stripping off for clearance. The bar is to wide at the bottom. Needs to be 1-1 1/2" narrower or had there been instructions to warn of this I could have tilted the bar farther forward. Instructions would have been nice. I suppose Wolfe thinks the pics they supply on their web site is sufficient. We positioned it forward and back just like the pics on their site.

The following shows how wide the bar sits. 1/2" narrower and my panel would have reinstalled easily and the bar would have centered on the plate a little better too. I actually tried bending it in a little but no luck. This Chromoly is strong. Had I realized the panel wasn't going back in I would have taken it to a muffler shop for a little rebending.
At this point it was only tack welded.

The bar is very nicely designed and for the most part does fit well. They also recommended welding the rear braces to the fender wells. This would have required holes in my rear panels. I elected to weld as shown. The nicely contoured ends at the top didn't fit very well with the new angle but we worked around that.
I had to grind a little on the top portion of the swing out bar for ease of attaching. It was too tight to operate from the drivers seat. Once you are in the car it's got to go together easily from that awkward position. Also the pin hole had to be reamed out slightly for the pin to go freely.
Rear view is hampered slightly but nothing to worry about.
All in all this Wolfe bar is a excellent kit and I would recommend it to anyone. Just don't believe them when they say two weeks if they don't have it in stock. Try closer to 8 weeks.

All I get is a big "F-body.com" picture on Raugh's page, and a "you do not have permission" message on the links in the original post...

Re: My new Wolfe roll bar (Pics)
Thanks John for the help!
I don't know what is wrong with the original post. I've tried everything there too but can't get it to work either. Maybe I need to retire my computer and take up knitting.

Hey, I can see them now! Looks nice Larry. Some day I'll have to repaint my rollbar and make it look nice.
I don't recall seeing much from you since your Mustang accident at hte track awhile back. How bad off is the car? Are you going to be able to put it back together?

Larry,
I hope to see you again soon too. I was at the track last night. Too bad you and Larry weren't there.
GeorgeC
Thanks for the compliment.
The Mustang is history. I parted it out. The motor still lives in my son's street Mustang. He ran a 12.05 @ 111 mph ET racing last night and letting up. He had ran a 12.18 at 115 mph earlier but lost it off the line. He would have certainly had an 11 second pass had he stayed in it. He didn't get to make another pass as he hit something on the track and ruined a one of his Nittos.
