Going to the track Thurs . . . .
I'm thinking about taking out my back seats Thurs night when I go to my local drag strip. I've never done this before, in fact, I've never even looked back there to see how. Can anyone tell me if one, this is worth my time and if so, HOW? It's so hot and sticky down here that I know every little bit is going to help right now. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Assuming everything else is equal, you should see a couple of hundreths. If it is worth it, that is up to you.
Easy things to remove:
rear seats and belts
rear panels and carpeting
front sway bar
washer fluid
passenger seat (if you ain't got anyone to ride)
That is as far as I would go for the average strip run. You should see a very nice gain for the time spent, IMO. Could make the difference between a 13.DOH and a 12 second slip.

thanks quick! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Have you taken your seats out before? Is it pretty easy? Are they easy to get back in?
Definently sounds worth the time. Anything helps.
My best before the free ram-air, lid and filter was .507 reaction and an ET of 8.927 at 81 mph in the 1/8. That was with just the flowmaster, everything else stock. But that's also when it was about 15 - 20 degrees cooler too.
This will be my first time to run with the new mods, but it's also warmer, so I don't know what to expect.

The rear seatback is attached with two bolts, easy and quick. It'll be easier to get the back off if you take out the rear seat bottoms first, they are attached with one bolt a piece, towards the bottom on the front.
The pass. seat has four bolts around the bottom.

The spare tire is a good one to remove. Also, the door panels are easy to get off...
