Killed a new Viper... 4-0 against Vipers at the dragstrip in "stock" Chevy's. He ran a 12.9 against my 12.4. Slowest Viper I've run yet.

Before anyone jumps on me, all times were on street tires. ET Street tires <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . We drive on the street with them.

12.2 sounds pretty good to me! The trap speeds are low, but maybe the track's clocks are off?

There was a 10mph headwind, and this track (Fontana) always runs 1-2mph low. Might be slightly uphill. It's actually a parking lot.

The 1/8mi MPH are killer, and Kathy ran one 112 pass and a 111, but she's 100lbs lighter than me.

To tell you the truth, it's a little weird with a 12.27 at 110, not normal, but I backed it up with a 12.42 and 12.45 both at 110. The 12.27 I shifted at higher RPM's.

nice E.T. work! As for the MPH, Fontanas always a lil slow. Plus, what matters is the e.t. not the mph <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> For the mods you have done to your Z (which is basically only E.T. Streets) your doing really well. Drive that Z into the 11's before you put any other kind of mod on it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Nice ET btw (you're almost as fast as my cheap Z <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )...but you are definitely NOT the slowest Z06 in history...there was a silver '02 @ Carlsbad at the SAFE event running 13.80's! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

nice ET. i went to a corvette meet about 2 weeks ago. the weather was 95 degrees & a storm rolled through right after we left. there were around 50 vettes there,1 mustang,1 cavalier, & about 10-13 fbodies. the regular C5' were running 14.1's-13.2's. there were about 6-8 Z06's there. they ran 13.4's - 12.5's. i only think 2 ran 12's. one ran 12.9-12.8, & one guy took his passenger seat out & was running drag radials on weld XP wheels he was running 12.7-12.5.a 66 vette with a big block ran a 11.6 i think. some of the people in the stands said our fbodies were drag cars not street cars.My buddies wife told them that her husbands(tom) car ran 11.6's & was very streetable(25mpg). not much was said after that, but most the guys were cool as could be. it was fun though watching tom in his WS6 give them guys 1/4-1/2 a track lead & beat them in bracket racing, like 8 races in a row. had fun.

Jack - The "stock 11's" for Z06's are much like the "Stock 12's" for the Fbodies. Really rare, and mostly in the winter, or pro drivers. I'm not an expert driver so I'm going to cheat! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I should run 11.999999 within a month or two, then get the car to run 12.1x-12.0x consistantly. The dealer won't like me having a rollbar in the car! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Most stock Z's run mid-to-high 12's stock. 11's require a 1.8 60' or better which is impossible at most tracks on OEM tires.

66 - The wheels and tires I used are CCW's 16x10 rear, and 16x5 front, tires are ET Street 16x11.0x26 and 16x5.00/5.25 Firestones. Minor grinding of the upper ball joint is required in the rear, none in the front. Available at West Coast Corvettes.

Titan, by Slowest, I mean MPH. Many guys are running 115+ stock. Few are 110 and slower. These cars hate heat more than the Fbodies do I'm finding out.
