Darn 2-Step Wiring Nightmares!

Darn 2-Step Wiring Nightmares!
I have tried unsuccessfully now twice to wire my two-step. I tried wiring it without the trans-brake this time. Tried to follow the instructions, but the 2-step operated all the time, instead of just when I used the momentary switch.
Here is what I want to do:
-12-volt power from battery directly to a toggle switch (used to arm the t-brake)
-From toggle switch, hot to t-brake
-Momentary switch to ground the t-brake and 2-step
-I have a relay, but haven't tried ot use that yet
If someone could spell this out plain and simple for me, I'd really appreciate it. I went to the track yesterday, but had to foot brake the whole time because I didn't have things wired correctly. I was getting 1.7xs foot braking, which may have been more like 1.5xs with everything working correctly <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Will someone help me out here?

Re: Darn 2-Step Wiring Nightmares!
Sounds like you have everything wired correctly to me. There are two wires on the 2-step itself that have to be grounded for it to work.
I have a "hot" wire directly to one side of the transbrake solenoid. The other side is wired to ground through a pushbutton switch. I tapped in the two wires for Harlan's 2-step on the t-brake side of the pushbutton, so it sees a ground when the switch is depressed.

Thanks George...that's what I ended up doing today...just a little trial and error and got them working together. I am much happier now
