Default 26 x 11.5 x 15 ET Streets

Have you guys had good luck hooking with these? My current 26 x 10.5 x 15's don't really hook that well (but they sat for about 8 months while the car was down)...so I am looking for another DOT approved solution.

Thanks,

Scott

If you do get the 11.5 ET Streets, make sure you run with a 15x10 rim. They will bulge out and not make very good contact patches with an 8" wide wheel.

I have the 26x11.5x15 on Conv Pro 15x10. They have their moments. I did drop my 60's from 1.8's to 1.73 on engine and 1.62 on nitrous. I have more than 300 passes on them so its time be getting a new pair or moving up to a slick. Our track is not the best prep'd track either. So do they 'stick' yep.

Going from 15x8/26x10.5x15 ET Streets to a WIDER 15x10/26x11.5x15 combo might help, but adjustable front shocks up front might help even more why don't you give us more detail.

I have gone 1.51 (A4 car) on the 15x10/26x11.5x15 ET Street combo with front shocks at 1/1.

Ok, here is the info.

Car is an incon TT on 7-8psi of boost and is probably making 550+ to the wheels right now based on my last dyno at 4psi.

Here is my suspension:
-PA K-Member and A-Arms with solid mounts
-HALs on all 4 corners
-Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm (Pinion Angle -2)
-Global West Adjustable PHR
-Global West LCAs
-KBDD Subframes
-Wolfe 8pt Chromoly Cage
-Moser 9" w/35 spline axles and spool
-Airbag RR 25psi at the track

I have the front HALs set on 3 and the rears on 5, last time at the track was ~4psi of boost (460 rwhp) and I went 11.9 at 120 on a high 1.9 60ft.

I lowered tire pressure to 12 psi on the ET streets and the car still wouldn't hook, if I leave at 4000 it will spin the tires as soon as boost hits.

I think that my old ET Streets may be part of the problem because they have seen a lot of miles...in normal driving on 7psi the car will spin the tires if I punch it in 3rd gear on the freeway.

Thanks for the help!

Scott

Forgot to mention, the car is a M6 with a twin disk McLeod, so the clutch doesn't slip at all!

With a turbo you make a lot of power at 4000 rpms.

Honestly you might benefit more from a 28x11.5.x15 ET Street setup.

I would not air them down lower than 12 psi I usually run 15psi and start to air down but never lower than 12 otherwise the car handles poorly...

I'd put the hal fronts at 1/1 and then tighten them if you can get away with it.

PSJ,

I will try changing the front HALs, do you think that 5/5 is ok for the rears?

Will a 28 x 11.5 x 15 ET street fit on a car without any massaging? I heard that with adjustable LCAs they will fit.

I see folks running different #'s in back, but I would probably stagger them a bit...

Like 4 driver rear/6 passenger rear...

I ran 28x9x15 ET Drags on 15x8's last year and they are pretty much the same size you might need some fiddling.

I guess if you are looking for a 10 second pass I'd run 27-28's...

28x9x15's cutting only a 1.63 here-->

You CAN put 26x11.5x15 ET Streets on a 15x8, but they fit perfect on a 15x10 rim. You will get some cupping.

Will it hurt if I put my 26x11.5x15 ET Streets on a set of 15x8s and then move them to a set of 15x9.75 rims in a month or so? Will they wear funny?

Scott why do you need a DOT tire?
