Default Drag times on new cam:

No in the Et catagory, like I was hoping for. I did get a best MPH of 125.68.
Can someone explain where my 60's have gone? I know it's not the rear, gotta be the convertor & tranny.

Anyway, I could not manage better than:
1.703 11.90@114.70
1.665 11.84@114.73

1.640 11.089@124.87
1.630 11.089@125.08
1.643 11.075@124.68
1.650 11.080@125.68

The fog was rolling in, & the moisture was in the air, but I didn't feel like I was slipping. Looks like the perfect bracket racer But not what I was looking for. I know weather plays a big factor.

I suspect that I have issues with the tranny & or the convertor. Looking for answers, as I obviously have the power, times should be different.

I have some SES lights, which I thought was the rear o2's. Also I damaged one of the rear ABS sensors when doing the 12 bolt, so I have low track, and ABS INOP lights. I dont know if this affects performance, but apparently I have issues to iron out..

This is not as easy as when I was bolt on. I kinda wish I had stayed bolt on & just lightened it up more & sprayed the hell out of it... Any ideas?

Looks like you got alot of your early summer gremlins figured out. I'm sure the times will get much lower as the "good" weather gets here and you work out the small bugs.

Doesnt make any sense to me. You made 388RWHP and ungodly torque unlocked which is good for 120-121mph NA and high 1.4 sixty foots with traction and right stall and gear.

Are you sure you dont have a problem somewhere in the drivetrain?
Best of luck figuring out what is happening.
Cheers,
Chris

i see you went with a 230 type cam. maybe its too much of a nitrous setup and not enough na? perhaps you need larger than a 100 shot to accomodate the extra exhaust. your na times suffered 3-4 tenths while your nitrous runs only suffered a 2 tenth loss. what is your compression too?

i dont know much about nitrous cams, but thats what i can conclude from what i see

You are running a 3200stall VIG converter right?

I think a PYE 4100 would probably work better overall NA and spray.

I forgot you were running such a small converter (But it makes sense for the Nitrous use)

That helps explain your NA mph a lot. A TP4400 in your application would likely add over 3mph.
Nitrous cars are always a compromise, unfortunately you cant go with a TP4400 as it will flash way too high on spray.
Cheers,
Chris

I suspect that because the power band had moved up, this is the reason for the loss in 60'. I went from an average of 1.52 to a 1.62, so there is going to be a loss there. I guess I'll put up a second post specifically on advice for the convertor.

ABS sensors are going to be replaced, but that would not cause any loss that I know of, even though I also get low trac lights also (maybe launching as if I had traction control on). Derty was watching & said that it appeared as if I was bogging off the line.

Cleared all SES codes. One for the rear o2 is the only one there. I'll do an ATAP to see where the car shifts at, and try to tweek that, but they all should be 200 below redline. I dont think that's an issue, although that is something I'll play with on down the line.

Here's four videos of his passes. I'm not sure which video ties into which timeslip. However, the last video is his last time that I do know.

IMO When I was watching his launches it looks like the car hesitates for a split second then goes. Not sure that these videos do it justice, but it was ever so slight.

The low trac light is from having skinnies up front and big tires in the back. You usally get the light when you are doing a burnout, launching, or on the brakes at the end. It's normal, different wheel speeds.

When I had 26x11.50s, I would get 'Brake' and 'ABS INOP' lights, but no 'Low Trac' light... However, when I lowered the air pressure in the back, it went away. Driving with 30lbs in them made them just a little too tall for the ABS sensor I guess.

Yes, I have problems with the runs. Something is not right. The car should be running in the 10.6-10.7 range. It used to pull the wheels, on stock motor. It doesn't anymore. I want my wheelies back

I get the ABS on my street tires also. I did use to get it with the Convo's, but I never got the low trac light. It would be like launching with your traction control on.. There would be some left on the table. Wade says that the car will pull timing & lean the car out when the low track is on. That would explain things.

I hope that is the only problem. Motor obviously is fine. I'm trying to get some new sensors & make it to the track again tomorrow.

Thanks for posting those Steve.

No, but I did add a Moser 12 bolt, with the same gear I had before, 3:73.
