Default smallest diameter slick?

what is the smallest diamter slick for a 16" rim?

right now i run 16" et streets- 26x10.5s. i can hook fine on 20 pounds of air in them. my 60s are high 1.5s right now. i wanna smaller diamter for a)better 60s and b) crossing the traps at a higher rpm. i still run a 3.23 gear and start to cross when im just making power. i dont want to change gears cause i drive the car a lot. i want a small tire . i "could" run a nitto, but i want a little more tire. is there anything stickier than a nitto and smaller than a 10.5 et street?

I don't think you'll find anything shorter than a 26" tire (the actual height may vary a little from tire to tire), except for some of the slicks designed for front wheel drive cars (which you wouldn't want to use). Your best bet will be a Nitto or BFG, since you can get these a little shorter (but even then it's not much).

doh!

i was afraid of this . i was looking for a 10-11" wide drag rim in 17" to mount some 315 nittos on. i hooked a 16" nitto to a 1.55 60', but again, track prep is not always going to be that good.

Their isnt a huge difference but I think the 26x10.5 ET street is a little smaller. (maybe 1/2 an inch?) I think it is equiv to a 26x8.5 ET drag which is 25.8 inches I believe.
Cheers,
Chris

If you are willing to go with a 15" wheel you can use these M/T slicks

Size: 22.0 x 8.0-15
Tread: 7.9
Sec.: 8.6
Dia.: 22.4
Circ.: 70.0
Note: (1)

would look kinda gay but would be an easy way to give a m6 with 342s a better launch

im not willing to grind anymore to accomodate 15" rims (unless they fit no problem)

how much does that 8.5" drag grow in comparison to the ET streets? i need some new tires very soon.

Convo Pros and the special offset Bogarts from PPO fit without caliper grinding. They are 15"

You might as well try some wheelbarrow tires on the rear.
