I've heard that convo pros stick out farther then the rest of the wheels. Is it possible to run a 28" tire on a convo pro? I'm hoping it will have enough clearance.

I have 26" x 11.5" Hoosiers on a 15"x11.5" Convo Pro. The rim sticks outside the wheel well slightly. The outside edge of the tire is just flush with the face of the fender surface. The top surface of the tire is about 5" from the fender lip on a stock ride height and stock suspension. With good weight transfer I bet that crushes down to under an two inches. If you get the smaller tires you might be able to stuff a 28" up there inside the fender well. But I don't think you can safely get a 11.5" wide tire in there without doing some panel shaping!

Here's what I know.

15x8.5 Convo Pro's will NOT clear unmodified fender irregardless of tire dia with 10.5" widths or larger.
The offset (5") is not enough. The 7.5" will.

I ran 15x7.5's with 26x10.5's and they cleared, even though the car was lowered 1". That should be the same as running a 28x10.5.

I have 15x8.5 Convo Pros w/ 5" BS. I also run a 28x10.5/15 MT Et Drag. I had to remove my rear and side ground effects. The rear section of the wheel well had to be cut about an inch and the front of the wheel well was modified slightly with a hammer.

I spent maybe an hour to make them fit and it was worth it for the extra tire diameter and traction.
