Default 4:10s or 3:73s with heads cam nitrous on 26" tire??

Well I finally broke the 10 bolt last night. I actually put the carrier through the diff cover. Wow what a mess. Im getting qa new set up installed today. My question is 4:10s would be bad *** for some street racing and motor passes at the track, but what about on the hose?? I rev to 6700 and run 26ET streets...Will I have to go into 5th in the 1/4 on nitrous?? Could I extend my rev limiter to 6900 or so? TIA

BTW, I know all about 4:10s being weaker, so I dont need that lecture. Gear installs are a dime a dozen around here. I dont mind breaking.

I coulda answered that question for ya numbnut..

You will definatly go into 5th on the nitrous. Extending your rev limiter and holding it out that far may hurt more than help because your car doesn't make power that high on motor. Gonna need a 28' inch tire....

Yep, 28" tires a must if you go with 4.10s.

I have the dyno graph beside me. No spike and no lies. My cam happens to love nitrous. Notice I also make over 400 ft/lbs of torque on motor which isnt all that common either.

Back on subject, I figured I would need a 28" tire, now the question is if its worth all this to go 4:10s...Speak up guys.. How ya liking the steep gears??

3.73s with a 26", 4.10s with a 28". I myself may be going with a 28" with 3.73s so I don't run out of gear on the spray.

Ron's car was built strickly with nitrous in mind. HUGE split cam, hogged exhaust ports, etc..It's not hard at all to gain crazy amounts of TQ with a properly setup nitrous combo...

PS- The car twisted enough on the 75 shot to break the t-top and hit me in the face with it. Got TQ?
