Default New Best today...

Took the car down to Carlsbad today...since last time the car has 3.73's, QTP ram air (This thing is a POS, don't waste your money) and some LS1 Edit tuning (Thanks Mark)...

Car is spinning the ET Streets even @ 11psi...so I guess it's time for some Real Slicks...DA was ~1100 ft...best 2 runs were as follows:

1.701 60'
7.684
89.04
12.086 1/4
111.57 mph

1.689 60'
7.67
89.01
12.088 1/4
111.55 mph

Raceweight was 3650lbs....suspension is still stock (with a Pro-Kit)....and still has manifolds....

There really is some more in the car, it's just not hooking....

Big thanks go to Mark @ Andy's! Thanks for your expertise and tuning ability! You are the MAN! And to Tony for helping out with everything today...thanks guys!

Damn...I thought for sure you would go 11s. I guess it will mean more if it takes a little bit more work. Great runs though

JP,

Well we got there late and I did not get a chance to let the car cool for an hour or 2...for some reason my LS1 is the only LS1 that runs beter cool instead of hotlapped...oh well....with a good hook, it would have been there...time for some ET Drags....

Are the tires pretty new, or almost worn out? 11psi is way too low, and you won't do much but buckle the tire underneath itself with that little air in them.

You should be able to hook the car pretty well on those tires if they're in good shape and have adequate pressure in them, IMHO...

Congrats at the new best Joe! I had the pleasure of seeing those runs at the track.

GeorgeC: remember this is at Carlsbad, where there is ZERO track prep, I believe Terry Burger runs his slick at 11 psi at C-Bad as well, it'd be nice to go to a decent track one of these days

Nice runs! Get some heads/cam on that beast.

George, Carlsbad is slippery. I run 11-12psi there most of the time. The car hooks better @ 10psi but it gets scary on the top end.
