Skoal Green Capps car... Since it was a drag race, i figured id post it here...
Did anyone see the explosion?! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> its unreal!

Re: Skoal Green Capps car... yeah he was ok, he said some stuff hit him in the leg but other than that he was fine. but he DID almost get hit in the head with half the intake manifold. on the previous pass they showed the front half of the car caving in from the air. it did it before it blew up too.

Re: Skoal Green Capps car... And I believe i was mistaken (in the slow-mo vid) it looks like Capps gets blown from the car, but i guess its just a piece of the car thats dangling, and looks like his helmet/firesuit...my bad

Re: Skoal Green Capps car... You should've seen the crowd's reaction when the car exploded! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> The NHRA Safety Safari is AWESOME. It's amazing how fast they respond and how fast they can clean the track up after an oil-down! They have SEVEN vehicles dedicated to the safety of the racers. One of them pulls a jet engine up and down the track to dry it when it's wet; how cool is that?!
Capps was pretty shook up from the explosion. At first, he was radioing to his pit crew that he couldn't feel anything from the waist down right after it happened. Anytime you can walk away from a crash/explosion like that is a great day!
