New H/C breakdown,I mean shakedown runs,11.27/119
Pete and Mike thanks guys,I owe you BIG time.I have to say this--WESHAMPTON SUCKS--WESTHAMPTON SUCKS.I feel a little better now.
This was the first time out with the TR 224/112 cam and Absolute Speed Stage II heads.I did not run the short belt and forgot to block off my airbox for the FTRA.The track, well what can I say[read above, they suck.LOL]If you run a Yank TP you know they like stall,2800-3000 YEAH,had to launch at 2000-2200.
60' --1.563
660'--7.170/95.259
ET --11.275/119.713
I need a new carrier, the Auburn is starting to go one leg burn out.The 3:42s have to go,4:10s maybe, rear LCAs.
The engine ran like a Swiss watch. If there had been ANY track prep I think with a 2800-3000RPM launch 1.4x-60'would have been there. There is a lot left in this car,got to sort out the small details.
Thunder Race did a great job on my mail order tune. They are great people to deal with.
Jay,your Stage II heads and install are top notch. Thanks buddy.
BTW-did I tell you? WESTHAMPTON SUCKS

congrations John. You are so right about Westhampton They do Suck!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> Even on the 26X10X15 ET-Drags you could not launch the car hard <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
The car ran awesome , I think with a new carrier (No more 1 wheel burnouts) and a nice set of 4.10 gears some LCA's your going to be like <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> When you launch. I bet with some more tweaking you will find another 3-4 tenths in the car. <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />

GREAT shakedown runs John. 11.27 first time out is pretty darn good. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
The short belt and blocking off the air box got to be worth at least a 10th.
The LCA's will really help that launch. I'm glad your getting a before and after on this one.
Man, a new fixed up rear end for a 2 wheel launch, 4:10 gears and some better weather and who knows? 10's maybe? I'll bet soon.
Good luck buddy, <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Nice runs John <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Now get the rear fixed and then all you need is to get down here to Atco(TNT on the weekends now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ) and run the number you want <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
LAter <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
PS: I'm almost there <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Pete, you got it right with the rear giving out on the launch.I will order a new carrier and 4:10s on Monday.
Tom,thanks for the loan of the rear LCAs,I will get those in next week.
Bob,I can't wait to see you get that car going.I am sure we will see a kick *** show.
Mike,Jay's heads[Absolute Speed]are great.I will get a dyno soon but would like to run some 10s first!!!!

jfm, good move on the 4.10's. I think you will pick up atleast 1 mph with the gear swap. The cam and heads need to be revved higher than those 3.42's were letting it.
Nice shakedown times <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I'd like to see some video of your 10 second pass, which should be right around the corner <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: New H/C breakdown,I mean shakedown runs,11.27/119
Mike H.,thanks bud.I will try the 4:10s.Your car is kicking major ***,cam only and 3500 pounds. You will be first cam only 10s after the Thunder Shootout.
JS,it was about 3350[in my sig.] pounds.I still need to install my PA Kframe and Aarms. Then the Wolfe 6 point with their light weight sub frames.I should only gain about 20 pounds.I guess light weight carpet would get me even.I will weigh it when all is installed and get an accurate number.
JS,what gear/tire combo are you using?TIA
