NICE! Pete was calling Phil throughout the day and Phil was IMing me the numbers as they were happening. I was shocked. I talked to Pete afterwards and he said the track was hooking good which is rare for Westhampton.
Congrats again JFM!

way to go guys .. The car was running awesome. I checked the DA for saturday and around 4 pm the DA was -834 feet. You were just a K-Frame and A-Arm away from that Magic 10 second slip

It's not out of the realm to see -1500ft DA's in the fall.K frame A arms + another -600ft in DA and boy she could very well go into the 10.8's.Tom the LCA's are in thanks buddy! We need to get together and go racing soon.

Tom the LCA's had to have helped though I must say the track was hooking like a 20 dollar hoe on 42nd street was able to pull off 3300-3500rpm launches(barely because the car was starting to push). The Absolute Speed package so far has run a hair shy of six full tenths(.58) off the cars best stock internal run. Important point is the DA was at least 600 ft better on that best stock internal run. That said it's very feasable this setup could see a gain of 7+ tenths overall very respectable for a car that already ran very strong with a sealed motor.

Re: JFM new shakedown numbers 11.04@121
I have to thank Jay at Absolute Speed,he came over and swapped my carrier for me Thursday night in my driveway so we could go racing on Friday.BIG THANKS.
We left the 3:42s in for ease of installation.I have a set of 3:73s ready to go in and might try the 4:10s.
I left my laptop and HPP home so I could not adjust the shift points.I would have gone a -1 on the 1-2 and +1 on the 2-3 shift. When the 3:73s or 4:10s go in I will have the rev limit raised to 7000rpm.
Tom,thanks for the loan of the LCAs,no doubt they are helping.
Pete, thanks for the loan of the slicks again. How many runs I put on them?LOL.I ordered you a new set.
Mike, man what a motor you got in your garage.I cant wait to get your Monster to the track.Damn we have to get in on those BIG $$$$$ races.Give me 10 cars and the brake for $1.00[one dollar].I cant believe the thousands of dollars they race for.
Coach,no way I will bracket race with you,you are to good.
JS,thanks man.I now see how much work and tweaks it takes to run heads and cam.My stock internal was easier, but not as fast.
TXCAMSS,that is one quick car.3500lbs,baby Yank,I see big numbers for your set up.
LS1LT1,BlownGS,thanks guys.I am a very happy with the performance of my car.

John, your ABSOLUTE SPEED heads are LS1 heads and NOT LS6 heads aren't they? Man oh man, that makes the 11.04 even more impressive if I have that little tid bit right
Great job ABSOLUTE SPEED

Re: JFM new shakedown numbers 11.04@121
Tom,my heads are LS1,packed with Manley 2.02 intake and 1.55 exhaust valves.Jay had them milled .025,I don't remember the compression ratio[10.8-1].
I will get it back on a dyno soon,my stock internal made 327HP with the Yank 4400 unlocked.
Tom,I am greatly anticipating your new mill, only problem is if I get to make a pass in yours mine will feel TOOO SLOOO.

It's not IF you get a pass John but, WHEN
Man oh man, those are awesome LS1 heads. I sure wish ABSOLUTE SPEED was in business when I was first installing a heads and cam package. Just think. I could have gone a little faster.
BTW, I took that heavy mild steel 6 point roll bar out of the car. The new 10 point chrome moly is being installed as we speak. It looks great so far. It is all custom mandrel bent with TIG welds. I will try and get some pics for you.
I can't wait till we hook up and do some racing together buddy.
